Yes. CheckPoint can be used on compatible smartphones, including company-issued phones or approved personal devices. For the cleanest setup, we recommend using company devices so access, scans, and reporting stay consistent across the team.
You can use multiple devices with CheckPoint. Guards, supervisors, and managers can each have access based on their role. The system is built so teams can add devices as needed without changing how the site is set up.
Yes. New subscribers get a 14-day money-back guarantee. If CheckPoint doesn't fit your operation, just email us within 14 days and we'll refund your first month — no questions asked. You keep any NFC plaques you've ordered.
Any iPhone with NFC capability — that's iPhone 7 and newer running iOS 14 or later. NFC scanning works without any extra hardware. If you prefer QR codes, the app also includes a built-in camera scanner that works on any iPhone.
Replacement plaques are available anytime at the same tiered pricing — $22 for a single plaque, with bulk discounts down to $13 each. If a plaque fails within the first 90 days due to a manufacturing defect, we'll replace it free of charge. For damage from impact, weather, or tampering, just reorder from the plaques section. Every replacement is pre-programmed to match the checkpoint it's replacing — just peel, stick, and you're back online.
Not yet — but it's on our roadmap. CheckPoint is currently iPhone-only because we wanted to ship a rock-solid experience on one platform before expanding. Android is targeted for 2026.
No. CheckPoint plaques do not need power or batteries. They are scanned by the phone using NFC, which makes them simple to install and easy to maintain.
Yes. CheckPoint plaques are pre-programmed, tested, and tied to your account so scans are guaranteed to work the moment you mount them. This eliminates setup work, ensures consistent read quality, and gives you a single point of accountability if anything ever fails. Plaques are sold separately from your subscription — see the pricing above.
Scans queue locally on the officer's phone and sync automatically the moment connection returns. The app shows an "Offline" indicator so officers know their scans are pending, and the admin portal shows the scans the moment they sync. Nothing is ever lost.
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We run on Google Firebase, which is SOC 2 Type II certified. Every login, scan, and admin action is logged in a tamper-proof audit log. Enterprise customers can request our security documentation.
No. CheckPoint is built for security operations, but it can also be used anywhere a company needs proof that a person physically checked a location. That can include maintenance teams, property staff, facility workers, cleaners, or inspection teams.
